We’re exploring the development of a Creative Collaboration Hub in Benalla – a space for creativity, collaboration, co-working and innovation.

Benalla Creative Collaboration Hub – Project Overview

The Arts, Culture and Heritage Innovation Working Group is exploring the development of a Creative Collaboration Hub – a vibrant, flexible space designed to support creativity, innovation, and community connection in the heart of Benalla.

Supported by the Victorian Government’s Forestry Transition Program, this project aims to strengthen our region’s creative economy by providing spaces and opportunities for artists, makers, freelancers, entrepreneurs, and community groups to thrive.

What is the Creative Collaboration Hub?

The Hub is envisioned as a shared, multipurpose space offering:

  • Studios and creative workspaces for artists and makers
  • Co‑working areas for freelancers, remote workers, and small businesses
  • Shared facilities, including meeting rooms, event spaces, and collaboration zones
  • Programs and workshops that nurture skills, innovation, and creative industry development

The goal is to create a welcoming environment where people can work, learn, collaborate, and bring ideas to life.

Why we’re exploring this Hub

To ensure the Hub is viable, sustainable, and genuinely useful, we are undertaking a Demand Analysis to understand what our community needs most.

We need your input

Your feedback will directly shape:

  • What spaces and facilities are prioritised
  • What programs and services are offered
